Viking was first used to refer to the action called seafaring. It was used as a verb to describe that action. It applies to the Scandinavians seafarers. In the past, individuals depended on birds’ instincts to navigate. The Vikings took there seafaring boards on numerous ravens. The ravens were only released one each time as the Vikings sailed westwards. In case the released raven sailed in a different direction, seafaring had to follow it, in pursuit of a new land to settle in. However, when the released raven flew to the same direction it had come from, Viking ship will continue with its journey. This is some of the Viking facts one should be aware of.
